Chopan Schwabing

If you are looking for something special, something new and extraordinary, than this is your spot. Traditional Afghan cuisine in the heart of Schwabing near Münchner Freiheit. We took a lot of guests from all around the world to this restaurant and nobody ever not liked the food. The spices and the quality of the meat and vegetables is very good! Try it - you won't regret this excursion to the orient in the middle of Munich!

Taste

Expect a mix of Asien, Indien and Persian falvours. Its truely something special and the dishes are a combination of spiced rice, lamb, chicken or just vegetarian options. Its unique combination of spices makes it so good. Even people that are not into middle eastern cusine will like it. Our favourite: Number 42 - Badenjan Tschalau.

Location

The Chopan Schwabing is located near the Münchner Freiheit and close to the english garden. You have two parking garages close by but as its close to the Münchner Freiheit subway station its also very reachable with public transportation.

Atmosphere

The inside is an homage to the afghan roots and cosy to sit. Its quite a small place so prepare to make a reservation upfront. You can either choose a slot from 18:30 to 20:30 or 20:30 till the end. In summer they have plenty of seats outside.

Service

The service is very good, friendly. It fells like being guest at your afghan family you never had.

Price

Chopan Schwabing is above the averge of the price range. Expect dishes to cost around 22 to 28 Euro. Expect to pay around 60 to 70 Euro per Person with some starters and Wine. But definately worth the money.
